Wow! It’s been 6 months since I posted here. I need to keep this up more often.
I found great website I enjoy using just about everyday. It called Spark People (here)
It has all kinds of health and diet resources, from nutrition and exercise trackers, video library, and articles to recipes, member blogs, and message boards. All geared to help with finding your healthy lifestyle and weight loss. I love this site, to me it is comparable to the Weight Watchers website, if not better. Which is big for me because I love Weight Watchers. I was on the lookout for such a site since I had to quit Weight Watchers for financial reasons, and a wonderful friend Julie (view her blog here) suggested I look into this website, and I was hooked from then on!
As far as my weight loss journey, I have gained 25 pounds back, and it’s been a struggle to back to the mindset I had when I was losing. I haven’t given p and refuse to gain any more weight back. Another reason the I love the Spark People website, I get daily email from with articles and blog posts to help me keep my mind on what I want to do.
I also experienced a miscarriage at 6 weeks gestation, which hit me really hard. We weren’t trying but have wanted another, so we were super happy when we found out. A few days later I ended up in the ER for a racing heart and was told I miscarrying. Then a week to the day I found out, I miscarried at home. I was surprised and shocked at the amount of emotion I felt over it, the anger, the hurt, the relief when it was over. It was all I could think about for weeks. But I had the wonderful support of my friends and family, especially Darren, who was wonderful, and expressed his own feelings to me. Eventually I was able to get through my days without it consuming me and now I can think about it (most of the time) without breaking down.
